James Blackmon
Club owner James Blackmon is a 31 year veteran of the music biz having booked his first gig at his family's church in Alabama at eight years old. Since that time he has performed all around the world, including a performance at the American Consulate in Hamburg, Germany, a tour of Switzerland with his former gospel choir, regular appearances at the House of Blues (New Orleans, LA), and the Praline Connection (New Orleans, LA) and a headlining spot at the Fine Arts Center's Gospel/Jazz Brunch Show, also in New Orleans.

Since moving to Columbus in 2002, Blackmon has been seen all around town performing old school jazz standards at many Columbus venues and private parties, including Club Diversity, Art Crawl, The Lemon Grass, Gallery Hop, and most recently entertaining at several Strickland/Fisher fund raisers, and at the VIP reception at Governor Strickland's Innaugural Ball. In addition, James has released two solo jazz CDs, "Born Too Late," a collection of standards, and "Christmas Time Is Here," an album of childhood Christmas favorites.
